  • Remove brake fluid from master cylinder using suitable syringe.
  • Remove mounting bolt.
  • Disconnect reservoir from master cylinder by titling to side.
  • Plug master cylinder connections.
  • Disconnect brake lines, then plug bores and lines.
  • Remove mounting nuts and master cylinder.
  • Remove plug and clutch hose, as required.
  • Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
    • Install new mounting nuts and seal.

The following procedure has been revised by a Technical Service Bulletin.

Ensure traction control systems are turned Off prior to bleeding brake system.

  • Connect suitable pressure bleeder to brake fluid reservoir. Maximum charging pressure is 43.5 psi.
  • Attach bleeder hose and container to righthand rear wheel. Bleed until no bubbles appear.
  • Repeat previous step for lefthand rear, righthand front and lefthand front wheels.
