- Install suitable pressure gauges, one each on input side and output side of proportioning valve.
- Bleed brake line and pressure gauge, then gradually depress brake pedal and observe gauge.
- Observe left and righthand output pressures.
- Pressure difference between left and right sides should not be more than 57 psi.
- Refer to "Hydraulic Brake Control Specifications."
- If pressure is not within specifications, replace proportioning valve.

- Connect programmed scan tool, to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under lefthand side of instrument panel.

Replace
- Remove caliper from brake rotor and brake pads from caliper as outlined in "Brake Pad Service."
- Disconnect brake hose at brake caliper, then cap brake line.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Overhaul
- Remove caliper from rotor as outlined under "Brake Pad Service."
- Place a small piece of wood between piston and caliper fingers, then carefully depress brake pedal to hydraulically push piston out of bore. Prop brake pedal to any position below first inch of brake pedal travel to prevent brake fluid loss.
- If pistons are to be removed from both calipers, disconnect brake hose at frame brack...

- Remove remote ground cable from stud located on lefthand strut tower, then remove wiring harness connector from speed control servo.
- Remove two speed control servo mounting bracket nuts, then move speed control servo out of way. Do not remove speed control cable from servo.
