Stop Lamp Switch

  • Release stop lamp switch from bracket by rotating it 30° counterclockwise.
  • Disconnect stop lamp switch wiring harness connector.
  • Pull outward on stop lamp switch plunger until fully extended.
  • Depress brake pedal, holding down in place.
  • Install stop lamp switch onto bracket by aligning index key on switch with slot at top of square hole.
  • Rotate switch 30° clockwise to lock switch into bracket, Fig. .
  • Connect wiring harness connector to stop lamp switch.
  • Pull back on brake pedal until pedal stops moving to allow switch plunger to ratchet to correct position.

  • Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels.
  • If applicable, ensure wheel bearings are properly adjusted.
  • Install lug nuts or bolts using suitable spacers.
  • Mount a dial indicator to vehicle, then position dial indicator plunger so it contacts rotor at a point one inch from outer edge.

Brake System Bleed

The TEVES Mark 20e anti-lock brake system must be bled as two independent braking systems. The non-ABS portion of the brake system should be bled the same as any non-ABS system. The ABS portion of the system requires the use of a DRB, or equivalently programmed scan tool.

  • To bleed non-ABS portion of system, refer to "Hydraulic Brakes."
  • To bleed the ABS portion of the system, connect DRB scan tool to vehicle diagnostics connector, located under the lefthand side of instrument panel.
