- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove caliper mounting pins/bolts, Figs. through .
- Disconnect brake hose and remove caliper.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Rear
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove brake cable mounting bolt and lock spring.
- Disconnect parking brake control lever and cable.
- Remove caliper mounting pins/bolts, Figs. through .

- Reverse procedure to install.
Overhaul

- Push out piston with dust seal by blowing compressed air through brake hose hole.
- Remove piston seal using suitable tool.

Disassemble
- Bend stopper cap claws outward.
- Lightly push piston into cylinder bore and remove valve stopper, Fig. .
- Remove pistons from master cylinder. If pistons are stuck in bore, apply air pressure.
- Remove reservoir tank.
Inspection
- Inspect master cylinder for scratches and pin holes.
- Inspect piston for deformation and scratches on piston cups.
- Inspect stopper cap excessive deformation of claws.
