This lamp will be illuminated when the ignition switch is placed in the on position as a bulb check. If the lamp remains lit or lights during vehicle operation, a problem in the anti-lock brake/traction control system is indicated. When the lamp is lit, place the ignition switch in the off position, then restart the engine. If the lamp remains lit, the system must be serviced. The basic brake system will remain functional.
