This engines does not require a specified bleed procedure. After filling cooling system, run engine to operating temperature with radiator/pressure cap off. Air will then be automatically bled through cap opening.

- Set heater temperature control lever to Max. Hot position.
- Remove radiator fill cap, air relief plug and bleeder cap.

Fuel System Pressure Relief
- On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse panel.
- On 1990-96 300ZX, disconnect the fuel pump relay, located behind the lefthand side kick panel.
- On all models, start and run the engine until it stalls.
- After the engine stalls, crank two or three times to ensure all fuel pressure is relieved.
- On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then install the fuel pump fuse.
- On 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then connect the fuel pump relay.

This procedure describes a driveline equipped with cardan joint in tube yoke. Driveline equipped with companion/slip yoke repeat steps to remove remaining cardan joint.
- Place driveshaft on suitable workbench. Do not damage driveshaft when servicing on workbench. Ensure driveline and components are reference marked to prevent driveline imbalance.
- Tap outside of bearing cap with a drift to loosen snap ring.
