A/C & HEATER SERVICE PROCEDURES FOR 2001 Audi S8 AUTOMOBILES
Audi -> Component Replacement & Adjustment -> Blower Motor, Replace -> A4 & S4 -> A6, Allroad & S6 -> A8 & S8 -> TT

- Remove cover from under glove compartment, then the glove compartment.
- Disconnect blower motor electrical connector.
- Remove blower motor plate mounting bolts, then the blower motor with mounting plate from HVAC housing.
- Depress blower motor locking tabs, then separate blower motor from mounting plate.
- Disconnect electrical connectors.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Ensure locking tabs are securely intact.
- Ensure electrical connectors and wiring are properly routed to avoid pinching.

The electronic control unit is located beneath the lefthand side of the rear seat.
- Turn ignition Off.
- Remove rear seat.
- Remove spring retaining electrical connector, then disconnect electrical connector.
- Remove screws securing control unit.
- Reverse procedure to install.
A8 & S8
- Remove lower slot cover from between knee bolster and lower column cover.
- Remove knee bolster.
- Remove ABS control module.
- Disconnect ABS control module electrical harness connector.
- Reverse procedure to install.
