- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Disconnect compressor clutch electrical connector.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove engine splash shield.
- Loosen idler pulley locknut, then the idler pulley adjusting bolt.
- Remove compressor drive belt.
- Remove discharge and suction hoses and discard O-rings. Cap fittings to prevent dirt and moisture from entering system.
- Remove compressor mounting bolts, then the compressor.
- Reverse procedure to install.
