DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2001 Jaguar S-TYPE AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2001 Jaguar S-TYPE cars and light trucks from 1990+.
CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace -> REAR
Vehicle: 2001 Jaguar S-TYPE 4.0 V8 GAS
REAR
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove rear tire and wheel assemblies.
- Remove axle shaft hub nut.
- Disconnect brake caliper.
- Disconnect harness and ABS sensor.
- Disconnect outer tie rod.
- Disconnect lower arm from hub assembly.
- Remove brake disc.
- Disconnect hub assembly from driveshaft.
- Disconnect axle shaft from differential housing using suitable pry tool. Do not damage differential seal.
- Remove axle shaft from differential housing. Do not loosen or remove flexible coupling.
- Mark driveshaft to flange for installation alignment.
- Mark balance nut to flange for installation alignmen...
