Accessing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
When a problem occurs in the ABS system, a warning light will flash on the instrument panel. To activate ABS self-diagnosis, ground the self diagnosis(check) terminal located on the data link connector. Refer to Figs. through for self-diagnostic procedures and code identification.

- Prior to adjustment, check the following:
- On models equipped with rear disc brakes, ensure toggle lever returns to stopper when parking brake lever is released, Fig. .
- On all models, ensure there is no drag when parking brake lever is released.
- Release parking brake lever and loosen adjusting nut.
- Start engine and depress brake pedal fully at least 10 times with engine running.
- Pull parking brake control lever 4-5 notches, then adjust control lever by turning adjusting nut, Fig. .
