- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove front wheels.
- Disconnect brake hose from caliper. Plug hose to prevent fluid leakage.
- Remove caliper lockpin, rotate caliper on guide pin, then remove caliper, Figs. and .
- Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
- Refer to Figs. and for tightening values.
- After completing installation, bleed hydraulic system as outlined under, "Hydraulic Brake Systems," "Brake System Bleed."

- Disconnect brake fluid level indicator connector, if equipped.
- Remove master cylinder assembly.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from brake booster.
- Working from inside the passenger compartment, remove snap pin and operating rod clevis pin from brake pedal assembly.
- Remove brake booster retaining nuts, then brake booster from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque brake booster retaining nuts to 10-17 ft. lbs.
