- Drain coolant into a suitable container.
- Remove timing belt as outlined under "Timing Belt, Replace."
- Remove camshaft sprockets. Discard bolts.
- Remove timing belt idler pulley above water pump.
- Disconnect engine wiring from No. 3 timing belt cover, then remove cover, Fig. .
- Remove water pump attaching bolts, then the pump.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque water pump mounting bolts to 69 inch lbs.
- Torque timing belt idler pulley bolt to 32 ft. lbs.
