- Remove fluid from reservoir using a syringe.

- Remove three-way joint attaching bolt and position joint aside.
- Remove two brake pipe flare nuts, then disconnect brake pipes from master cylinder. Plug lines.

Never clamp propeller shaft tubing in a vise. Clamping could dent or deform the tube causing an imbalance or unsafe condition. Always clamp on one of the yokes and support the shaft horizontally. Avoid damaging the slip yoke sealing surface. Nicks may damage the bushing or cut the lip seal.

The Check Engine/Service Engine Soon lamp should light when the ignition is On with engine not operating. When engine is started, the lamp should go off. If lamp remains on, either a service interval is indicated or a code has been stored by the Electronic Control Module (ECM) memory.
