    • On models equipped with rear disc brakes, ensure toggle lever returns to stopper when parking brake lever is released, Fig. .
    • On all models, ensure there is no drag when parking brake lever is released.
  • Release parking brake lever and loosen adjusting nut.
  • Start engine and depress brake pedal fully at least 10 times with engine running.
  • Pull parking brake control lever 4-5 notches, then adjust control lever by turning adjusting nut, Fig. .

  • On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse panel.
  • On 1990-96 300ZX, disconnect the fuel pump relay, located behind the lefthand side kick panel.
  • On all models, start and run the engine until it stalls.
  • After the engine stalls, crank two or three times to ensure all fuel pressure is relieved.
  • On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then install the fuel pump fuse.
  • On 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then connect the fuel pump relay.

  • Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
  • Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
  • Remove brake caliper assembly and rotor using suitable tool. Brake hose does not need to be disconnected from brake caliper. Suspend caliper assembly using mechanics wire. Do not stretch or twist brake hose and depress brake pedal or brake caliper piston will eject out from caliper bore.
