- Wipe reservoir cap clean, remove cap and inspect reservoir cap and diaphragm for cuts, nicks or deformation. Replace damaged components, as required

- On models equipped with anti-lock brakes, remove modulator and motor pack.
- On all models, remove brake fluid level sensor.

- With vehicle on ground, depress brake pedal and loosen drive axle-to-hub nut. Make sure vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned on hoist. To help avoid personal injury, provide additional support to opposite end of vehicle that components will be removed from.
- Raise vehicle on hoist.
- Remove road wheel corresponding to drive axle being removed.
