- Turn ignition Off.
- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Mark running direction, then remove compressor drive belt.
- Remove battery and bracket if required.
- Disconnect refrigerant lines at compressor, then cap all openings. Discard O-rings.
- Disconnect alternator electrical connectors.
- Remove alternator mounting bolts, then the alternator.
