Before adding or replacing engine coolant, ensure product compatibility with the system being serviced. If using orange silicate-free coolant, do not mix with green silicated coolant. If mixed, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result.

- Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.
- Remove intake manifold chamber.
- Open clamp and disconnect heater valve cable from heater valve arm.
- Disconnect heater hoses from heater unit.
- Remove two mounting nuts from heater unit. Do not damage or bend fuel or brake lines.
- Remove instrument panel as outlined in "Dash Panel, Replace."
- Remove mounting bolts, nuts and steering hanger beam.
- Remove evaporator as outlined in "Evaporator Core, Replace."
