- Clamp compressor in suitable support, then remove clutch hub as outlined in "Clutch Hub & Pulley, Replace."
- Remove shaft seal felt from nose of compressor.
- Remove snap ring as follows:
- Insert tip of snap ring remover tool No. T89P-19623-DH, or equivalent, into one eye of the snap ring, Fig. .
- Rotate snap ring until eye is close to compressor shaft, Fig. .
- Keeping tool shaft against side of nose opening, quickly pull upward and remove snap ring, Fig. .

- Remove steering access cover using suitable thin bladed screwdriver, then disconnect accessory and air bag module wiring.
- Disconnect steering wheel from column shaft by turning pinion shaft 120-130 revolutions.
- Remove steering wheel.
- Remove passenger's air bag module electrical connector and pin-type retainer through glove compartment opening.
- Remove mounting bolts and passenger's air bag module.
