- Disconnect mode control motor connector.
- Connect battery power to terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 2, Fig. . Motor should run smoothly and stop at VENT position.
- Reverse connections and motor should run smoothly and stop at DEFROST position.
- When mode control motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.
- When mode control motor is running, inspect for continuity between terminal Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6, and No. 7 individually.
