- Inspect brake pedal free height from dash reinforcement panel, Fig. .
- Loosen lock nut and adjust pedal free height by turning brake booster input rod. Tighten lock nut, Fig. .
- Inspect pedal free play and ensure stop lamps go off when pedal is released.
- Inspect brake pedal's depressed height with engine running. If lower than specifications, inspect for leaks or damaged components.
- On models equipped with manual transaxle, measurements should be as follows:
- Free height H should be 6.22-6.50 inches.
- Depressed height D should 2.76 inches at 110 lbs. pressure with engine running...
