- Remove front cover.
- Remove charge air pipe bracket from cover.
- Disconnect coolant hoses.
- Remove mounting bolts, housing and thermostat. Do not remove thermostat from housing.
- Reverse procedure to install using new O-rings.

- Remove fan shroud as outlined under "Water Pump, Replace."
- On models equipped with automatic transmission, remove ATF cooler lines.
- On all models, remove upper frame crossmember, protective blower grille and air deflecting elements.
- Remove condenser from radiator and leave on vehicle with lines connected.
- Remove radiator hoses.
- Remove radiator.
- Reverse procedure to install. Insert attachment lugs in rubber grommets of lower cross member.
