- Remove wheel nuts and front tire.
- Remove ABS wheel sensor from steering knuckle.
- Remove cotter pin and wheel bearing locknut. Discard old cotter pin and install new one upon installation
- Remove brake hose lock plate and remove hose from strut assembly.
- Remove strut assembly and steering knuckle bolt and nut.
- Remove driveshaft from steering knuckle. When removing driveshaft do not apply an excessive angle to driveshaft joint. Be careful not to excessively extend slide joint.

- Deflate tire, then remove retaining nut an allow transmitter to fall into tire.
- Gently bounce tire so transmitter falls to bottom of tire.
- Place tire on suitable tire changing machine and break both tire beads. Ensure transmitter remains at bottom of tire.
- Turn tire so valve hole is at bottom, then bounce tire so transmitter is near valve hole.
- Lift tire onto turntable and position valve hole 270° from mounting/dismounting head, Fig. .
- Lubricate tire, then remove first side of tire.
- Reach inside of tire and remove transmitter.
