- Raise and support vehicle, then remove righthand front tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove righthand splash shield.
- Remove tensioner through access hole in inner and outer engine rail using accessory belt tensioner unloader tool No. J-44811, or equivalent. Remove accessory drive belt.
- Disconnect compressor electrical harness.
- Remove mounting bolts and compressor.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

- Drain engine coolant into suitable container.
- Remove nuts, then the evaporator outlet hose and liquid line nuts from TXV. Discard sealing washers. Cap hose and line.
