- Remove master cylinder from vehicle.
- Remove cylinder pin, Fig. .
- Push piston inward, then remove snap ring.
- Apply pressure to piston assembly while Inserting a small screwdriver into window of piston retainer and raise piston retainer latch, Fig. .
- Remove primary and secondary piston assemblies. Do not disassemble pistons. if disassembled, the spring settings will change.
- Inspect master cylinder inside diameter to piston clearance, Service limit is not to exceed .043 inch.
