The brake booster consists of a power cylinder section and a power piston section. The power cylinder is made up of a front shell, rear shell and a diaphragm. The front and rear shells are connected with the diaphragm placed in between the two. - Using a drift and hammer, remove and discard DOJ spring pin, Fig. .
- Remove DOJ from transmission spindle.
- Remove driveshaft assembly. If necessary, use puller tool No. 926470000 or equivalent.
- Inspect all parts for wear, damage or corrosion and replace as necessary.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque axle nut to 137 ft. lbs.
- Torque stabilizer link to 24 to 31 ft. lbs.
