Wrap metal parts with a cloth or rubber material. Rubber boot may be damaged due to interference with adjacent metal parts during removal.
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Place vehicle in neutral.
- Release parking brake.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove center exhaust pipes bolts and nuts.
- Remove rear exhaust pipe and muffler.
- Remove heat shield cover.
- Place reference mark on front driveline and rear differential flange. Paint is recommended for match marks. Never damage rear driveline shaft flange yoke or companion flange
