- Raise and support vehicle and remove wheel.
- Remove brake line and plug to avoid fluid loss and air entering line.
- Remove caliper mounting bolts.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Service
- Remove excess dirt from caliper assembly, then remove and discard dust boot.
- Place a piece of wood in caliper and gently blow compressed air into brake line hole to help force out piston. Do not pry piston out, as you may damage assembly.
- Inspect piston for wear and corrosion. Replace as needed.

- Raise and support vehicle and remove front wheel assemblies.
- Use a C-clamp to compress caliper piston into bore.
- Remove caliper pin bolts, Figs. and .
- Remove caliper from disc plate and position aside. Do not let caliper hang with its weight suspended by brake hose.
- Slide disc pads off caliper anchor plate.
- Inspect all components for wear or damage.

- Raise and support vehicle with jack stands.
- Fill reservoir with brake fluid, ensure reservoir is at least half full at all times during bleeding procedure.
- After removing bleeder cap, connect one end of transparent vinyl tube to bleeder and place other end in a clean, clear container that is half full with brake fluid.
- One person should depress pedal a few times, then hold the pedal depressed.
- A second person should loosen the bleeder screw and drain fluid, then retighten screw to specifications.
