Vehicle: 2004 Saturn L Series 2.2 L4 GAS
- Remove battery and drain coolant into suitable container.
- Disconnect cooling fans electrical connectors and slide electrical connectors out of retainers.
- Remove pusher fan electrical harness from fan shroud retaining tabs.
- Remove wiring harness from clamp on fan shroud.
- On models equipped with automatic transaxle,disconnect upper transaxle cooler lines from radiator end tank. Cap line.
- On all models, disconnect upper radiator hose from radiator.
- Remove mounting bolts and fan shroud.

- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
- Open heater hose assembly clamp and remove inlet hose.
- Remove heater inlet hose from heater core pipe by depressing quick connect collar tab, located at 6 o'clock, and pulling black collar toward front of vehicle.
- Pull quick connector off of heater core pipe.
- Reposition heater core inlet hose clamp at elbow housing.
- Remove hose from elbow housing.

- Slide fan control module up and off bracket, then position aside.
- Remove battery.
- Drain coolant into suitable container.
- Remove power steering fluid reservoir and position to rear of vehicle.
- Disconnect both cooling fans and auxiliary water pump, then remove fan shroud harnesses.
- Remove upper transaxle cooler line and unsnap front end tank retainer.
- Remove upper radiator hose and auxiliary water pump outlet and inlet hoses.
