- Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assemblies.
- Remove brake hose bracket from knuckle.
- Hold caliper pin with suitable wrench, then remove mounting bolt and pivot caliper up away from rotor.
- Remove shims, brake pads and retainers.
- Clean caliper, then inspect caliper and rotor for damage, cracks and grooves.
- Install pad retainers.
- Apply Molykote M77, or Daikalub 528D grease, or equivalent, to pad side of shims A, both sides of shims B, back of pads and other contact surfaces. Wipe excess grease off shims and pads.

- Fill master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Position drain pan under lefthand front wheel.
- Have an assistant depress brake pedal with slow, even pressure and hold it down. Only press pedal halfway to floor. Do not depress brake pedal to end of master cylinder stroke.
- Open bleed valve one full turn. Watch for air bubbles in fluid and listen for air escaping from system.
- With brake pedal still depressed, close bleeder valve.

- Remove engine compartment covers.
- Remove mounting bolts and position underhood fuse/relay box aside.

- On TL models, proceed as follows:

- Remove master cylinder as outlined under.
- Disconnect brake booster vacuum hose.
- On RL models, remove engine wire harness from brackets and position it aside.
- On TSX models, remove cover, mounting bolt and underhood fuse/relay box.
- On TL and TSX models, remove air cleaner.
