DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2005 Honda CR-V AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2005 Honda CR-V cars and light trucks from 1990+.
CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace -> Front
Vehicle: 2005 Honda CR-V LX 2.4 L4 GAS
Front
- Loosen wheel nuts slightly.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Drain transmission fluid and reinstall drain plug using a new washer. Its not required to drain transmission fluid if lefthand driveshaft is removed.
- Lift up locking tab on spindle nut then remove nut.
- Hold stabilizer ball joint pin with suitable tool and remove flange nut.
- Separate front stabilizer link from lower arm.
- Remove cotter pin from lower arm ball joint castle nut and remove nut.
