DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2006 Cadillac XLR AUTOMOBILES

Rear
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
- Remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Insert a drift or punch into brake rotor cooling fins and against brake caliper to prevent wheel hub and bearing from turning. Remove spindle nut retaining rear wheel drive shaft to hub.
- Remove spindle nut retaining rear wheel drive shaft to hub.
- Remove drift or punch.
- Separate outer tie rod end from knuckle and reposition tie rod toward rear of vehicle.
- Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- Remove parking brake cable from bracket.
