- Apply service brake with pedal force of 175 lbs., and release.
- Fully apply parking brake using approximately 125 lbs., of force on final stroke and release.
- Apply and release parking brake two additional times.
- Inspect parking brake pedal assembly for full release by turning ignition On and observing brake warning lamp. Lamp should be off.
- If brake warning lamp is on and parking brake appears to be fully released, operate manual pedal release lever and pull downward on front park brake cable to remove slack from pedal assembly.

Pressure bleeding is recommended for all hydraulic systems. However, if a pressure bleeder is unavailable, use the following procedure. Brake fluid damages painted surfaces. Immediately clean any spilled fluid.
- Remove vacuum reserve by pumping brakes several times with engine off.
- Fill master cylinder reservoir with clean brake fluid. Do not let reservoir fall below half full during bleeding procedure.
