Alternator, Replace
Vehicle: 2006 Isuzu I-280 2.8 L4 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Rotate or lift belt tensioner arm clockwise using a suitable tool to relieve tension from drive belt.
- Remove drive belt.
- Raise vehicle on lift.
- Remove lefthand front wheel.
- Remove push-pins securing lefthand wheel housing liner.
- Disconnect A/C compressor clutch connector.
- Remove A/C compressor mounting bolts. Remove two lower bolts and one upper bolt ONLY. Evacuation of A/C refrigerant is not required. One upper mounting bolt will secure A/C compressor.
- Lower vehicle to ground.
- Remove alternator electrical connector and terminal nut from back of alter...

STARTER & ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2006 Isuzu I-280 AUTOMOBILES

- Disconnect battery ground and positive cables.
- Remove intake manifold by following steps below.
- Remove battery box wiring harness retainers.
- Lift lower battery box upward from battery tray.
- Remove oil dipstick from tube then remove bolt securing oil dipstick tube.
- Remove oil dipstick tube from engine oil pan.
- Disconnect brake booster hose from brake booster.
- Disconnect manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.
- Disconnect MAP sensor wiring harness retainers from intake manifold.
- Disconnect PVC valve and air tube from camshaft cover.
- Remove alternator assembly.
