- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove air baffle bolts, then air baffle.
- Remove engine to transaxle brace from rear lefthand side of engine.
- Remove transaxle converter cover attaching bolt, then cover.
- Remove engine harness ground retaining nut, then ground.
- Disconnect engine harness electrical connector from starter.
- Remove starter motor B+ terminal...

Vehicle: 2006 Saturn RELAY-3 3.5 V6 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove wiper arms.
- Remove air inlet grill retainers, then air inlet grill.
- Lower washer fluid container into engine compartment.
- Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector.
- Remove wiper module assembly mounting bolts, then carefully guide passenger side of module out first from opening in front plenum.
- Pull module from driver side fender flange opening, then remove module from vehicle.
- Remove throttle body air inlet duct.
- Set parking brake and shift transaxle into Neutral.
- Remove engine mount strut bolts, then swing engine mount struts aside.
