Vehicle: 2007 MERCEDES-BENZ E63 AMG 6.3 V8 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove engine air intake ducts from air filter housing.
- Remove front engine cover.
- Install a suitable engine support.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove fasteners and sound insulator panels.
- Disconnect right HO2S electrical connectors.
- Support center muffler, using a suitable lifting device.
- Remove bolts and disconnect right catalytic converter from exhaust manifold.
- Remove bolts and converter from center muffler.
- Remove right catalytic converter from bracket, then remove it from vehicle.
- Remove nuts and right exhaust manifold.

Vehicle: 2007 MERCEDES-BENZ E63 AMG 6.3 V8 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove front engine compartment sound insulator panels.
- Remove bolt and bracket for oil cooler line from fan shroud.
- Remove engine front cover.
- Remove both engine air intake ducts from air filter housing.
- Disconnect electrical connector from cooling fan.
- Remove rubber seal at upper frame crossmember.
- Remove bolts, expansion rivets, and radiator crossmember.
- Remove both spring clips (flat springs) from fan shroud.
- Detach coolant hose from fan shroud.
- Tilt fan shroud upwards and remove it.
