DRIVESHAFT, Replace -> Install -> Remove

Remove
- Raise and support vehicle using a suitable lift.
- Reference mark propeller shaft at transfer case flange.
- Remove propeller shaft-to-transfer case flange bolts.
- Reference mark propeller shaft at torque tube flange.
- Remove propeller shaft-to-torque tube flange bolts.
- Push propeller shaft toward rear of vehicle.
- Remove propeller shaft.
Install
- Install rear of propeller shaft to torque tube flange.
- Align reference marks on propeller shaft and torque tube flange. Thoroughly clean and apply threadlocker GM P/N United States 12345493 P/N Canada 10953488 or equivale...

CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace -> Front -> Rear
Vehicle: 2007 Saturn RELAY-1 3.9 V6 FLEX
Front
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove engine splash shield.
- Insert a suitable drift or punch through brake caliper and into brake rotor to prevent wheel hub and bearing from turning.
- Remove wheel drive shaft spindle nut.
- Remove stabilizer shaft link.
- Disconnect outer tie rod end from steering knuckle. Do not loosen tie rod end jam nut.
- Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector, then reposition wiring harness away from ball joint.
- Disconnect lower ball joint from steering knuckle.
- Install wheel hub remover tool No. J 42129, or equival...
