- Loosen wheel nuts slightly.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Lift up locking tab on spindle nut then remove nut.
- If left driveshaft is removed, drain transmission fluid, using a suitable container. It is not required to drain transmission fluid when right driveshaft is removed.

- Loosen the lug nuts.
- Raise and support vehicle with jack stands, then remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove the valve cap and core.
- Deflate the tire completely.
- Remove any balance weights.
- Prior to dismounting the tire from the wheel, note the following precautions:
- Do outside of wheel first.
- Position the bead breaking fixture 90° from the valve stem when separating the tire bead from the wheel.
