- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise vehicle on suitable lift.
- Remove bolts securing reinforcement plate.
- Remove bolts from intake hood.
- Remove retainers securing engine underguard at front, middle, and rear.
- Support exhaust system with suitable tool an secure jack against falling.
- Remove nuts from exhaust manifold.
- Loosen bolts attaching exhaust pipe bracket.
- Remove reinforcement plate bolts secured to exhaust system and rubber mounts.

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise intake filter housing and pull out intake duct and remove in upward direction. Observe position of spacer buffers located under intake filter housing.
- Remove bolts securing engine under cover.
