- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove drive belt using a suitable tool.
- Lower vehicle.
- Remove oil fill cap, then fuel injector sight shield from ball studs.
- Remove engine mount strut bolt.
- Remove engine mount strut bracket bolt, then engine mount strut bracket.
- Remove air conditioning liquid line clamp bolt from upper radiator support.
- Remove reservoir tabs from upper radiator support, position reservoir out of way.
- Reposition battery positive junction block cable boot.
- Remove battery positive junction block cable to alternator nut.

- Remove left catalytic convertor.
- Remove oil fill cap, then fuel injector sight shield from ball studs.
- Disconnect engine wiring harness electrical connector from heated oxygen sensor electrical connector.
- Remove HO2S electrical connector retainer from engine wiring harness clip.
- Remove exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and heat shield.
- Remove frame brace bolts and brace.
- Disconnect heated oxygen sensor electrical connector from engine wiring harness electrical connector.
- Remove catalytic converter hanger clamp nut, if required.
