Pressure Monitor Sensor (Valve Stem Type)
Use of a digital gauge is recommended for accurate measurement of air pressure. Place air chuck straight on the valve stem to inflate tire. Do not cock air chuck during inflation cycle. Doing so can damage valve stem and cause air leaks.
- Remove wheel, tire assembly and then the valve cap.
- Remove the valve core of wheel nut and bleed air from the tire.
- Remove the nut and washer.
- Push tire valve completely into tire. Breaking tire bead with wheel unit installed normally could damage unit. Be sure to always push wheel unit so that it is co...

After tire pressure monitor sensor replacement, registration of the unit identification codes must be performed.
Without Scan Tool
- Turn the ignition switch to the on position, then to off.
- Leave vehicle with engine off for at least 15 minutes.
- Start the engine and drive the vehicle at a speed of 16 mph or above for at least 10 minutes.
- After driving the vehicle, verify that the TPMS warning lamp is not flashing or illuminated.

- Connect a suitably programmed scan tool to the DLC (Data Link Connector) located under the lefthand side of the instrument panel.
