- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front tire.
- Remove ABS wheel sensor from steering knuckle.
- Remove cotter pin and wheel bearing locknut. Discard old cotter pin and install new one upon installation
- Remove brake hose lock plate and remove hose from strut assembly.
- Remove strut assembly and steering knuckle bolt and nut.
- Remove driveshaft from steering knuckle. When removing driveshaft do not apply an excessive angle to driveshaft joint. Be careful not to excessively extend slide joint.

To start the self-diagnostics, place the ignition switch in the On position, then ground terminal of the tire pressure warning check connector. The fault location is indicated by the blinking of the low tire pressure warning lamp, Fig. . If the low tire pressure warning lamp is blinking repeatedly at 5 Hz, there is no fault occurring in the system.

The Low Tire Pressure Warning lamp will illuminate briefly as a bulb check when the ignition switch is placed in the on position. This system uses radio frequency pressure sensors which monitor pressure in all 4 tires. When operating the vehicle at a speed above 25 mph the Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp will illuminate when low tire pressure has been detected. After all tires have been inflated to the proper pressure and vehicle has been operated the warning lamp should turn off unless a fault in the Low Tire Pressure warning system has developed.
