DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2008 Porsche 911 AUTOMOBILES
CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace -> Install -> Remove

Remove
- With an assistant applying brakes, remove axle shaft nut.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove inner end of drive shaft from transmission. Wrap shop towels or a suitable piece of rubber hose around drive shaft for protection.
- Carefully press out pin of drive shaft, using universal drive shaft/wheel hub extractor tool, until shaft can be moved by hand.
- Disengage parking brake cable from parking brake lever in passenger compartment as follows:
- Undo parking brake lever Do not operate until after installation is complete! Self-adjusting!
