- Place the ignition switch in the Off position.
- Using Toyota SST or other suitable jumper, connect terminals TC and CG of DLC3. The DLC3 is located under the left side of the instrument panel, Fig. .
- Place the ignition switch in the On position.
- Read and note DTCs indicated by flashes of the TPMS warning lamp, Fig. .

A tire pressure sensor and transmitter assembly is installed in each tire and wheel assembly, Fig. . The sensor measures the tire pressure. The measured tire pressure and transmitter identification are transmitted as radio waves to the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) warning antenna and receiver on the body. - Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Remove the right front door scuff plate.
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
- Remove the rear seat back assembly.
- Remove the front door opening trim weather strip.
- Remove the front door side trim.
- Disconnect the tire pressure warning receiver electrical connector, then remove the attaching bolt and the receiver.
Installation
- Install the tire pressure warning receiver, then connect the electrical connector. Tighten the attaching bolt to 71 inch lbs.
- Install the right front door trim, the weather striping.
