Wrap metal parts with a cloth or rubber material. Rubber boot may be damaged due to interference with adjacent metal parts during removal.
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Place vehicle in neutral.
- Release parking brake.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove center exhaust pipes bolts and nuts.
- Remove rear exhaust pipe and muffler.
- Remove heat shield cover.

Transmitter ID Registration
The following procedure must be performed when tire pressure sensor or TPMS control module is replaced. If tire pressure sensor transmitter ID cannot be registered after two attempts, replace the TPMS control module. If the registration procedure is not performed for 5 minutes or more or if the ignition switch is placed in the Off position, the registration mode will be cancelled.

- On all models, disconnect intake air temperature sensor connector.
- Remove bolts securing air cleaner case stay.
- Disconnect hoses and intake duct from air cleaner case.
- Loosen clamps that connects air cleaner case to throttle body.
- Remove air cleaner case.
- On models equipped with Turbo, remove intercooler.
- On all models, remove bolts securing air cleaner stay.
- Disconnect PCV hose from PCV pipe.
