- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove drain plug from differential housing and drain fluid into suitable container.
- Remove lefthand split pin and driveshaft castle nut and washer from front hub.

- Place the ignition switch in the Off position.
- Using Toyota SST or other suitable jumper, connect terminals TC and CG of DLC3. The DLC3 is located under the left side of the instrument panel, Fig. .

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise vehicle on suitable lift.
- Remove clips and radiator upper support seal.
- Rotate or lift belt tensioner arm counterclockwise using a suitable tool to relieve tension from drive belt.
- Remove drive belt.
- Separate oil cooler hoses from fan shroud.
- Remove bolts and separate fan shroud from radiator.
- Remove nuts and separate fan with fluid coupling from engine.
