Never clamp propeller shaft tubing in a vise. Clamping could dent or deform the tube causing an imbalance or unsafe condition. Always clamp on one of the yokes and support the shaft horizontally. Avoid damaging the slip yoke sealing surface. Nicks may damage the bushing or cut the lip seal.

- Disconnect battery ground cable from battery.
- Remove accessory drive belt.
- Raise and support vehicle only high enough to access A/C compressor through wheelhouse.
- Remove left front wheel.
- Remove left wheelhouse liner.
- Disengage A/C compressor electrical connector from bracket. Evacuation of A/C refrigerant will not be necessary.
- Remove A/C compressor mounting bolts ONLY. Upper mounting bolt will remain with A/C compressor.
