When removing the alternator and A/C drive belt, perform the procedure with two people, one releasing the belt tension and the other removing the belt.
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove engine cover.
- Move righthand front mudguard out of the way.
- Remove righthand splash shield.
- Remove coolant reserve tank.
- Discharge A/C system, using an suitable A/C refrigerant recovery machine.
- Disconnect refrigerant pressure sensor connector.
