Vehicle: 2009 Pontiac G8 GT 6.0 V8 GAS
To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.
- Raise and support vehicle on a hoist.
- Remove rear tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove wheel drive shaft retaining nut and discard the nut.
- Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- Detach wheel speed sensor wiring harness mounting clip from knuckle.

- Select park/1st gear position in transmission and apply park brake.
- Disconnect battery negative cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove right post-catalytic converter heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
- Remove left post-catalytic converter HO2S.
- Remove exhaust crossover pipe assembly to catalytic converter retaining nuts.
- Separate exhaust crossover pipe assembly from catalytic converter assemblies.
- Remove transmission tunnel cross-brace to body retaining bolts.
- Remove transmission tunnel cross-brace.
