Front
Before removing front axle assembly, remove wheel sensor from assembly. Move it away from front axle assembly area. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to sensor wires and wheel sensor becoming inoperative.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- On models equipped with ABS, remove ABS wheel sensor. Note before removing front axle assembly, remove ABS wheel sensor from assembly, then position it aside. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to sensor or s...

If replacing the TPMS ECU, prior to removal, use a suitably programmed scan tool to read the registered transmitter identification number for all wheels and note them for registration.
- Connect a suitably programmed scan tool to DLC3 located under the LH side of the instrument panel.
- Using the scan tool, note the registered transmitter IDs that are stored in the old TPMS ECU.
- If reading the stored transmitter IDs from the old TPMS ECU is not possible, the tires will need to be removed from the wheels to read and note the tire pressure sensor transmitter IDs.

When the ignition switch is placed in the on position, the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) warning lamp will illuminate for approximately 3 seconds and then go off as a bulb check. This warning lamp will illuminate when tire pressure falls below a specified psi. When the warning lamp illuminates, check the air pressure of the tire and adjust it to specified pressure. When the vehicle is driven more than 18 mph after the adjustment, the lamp will go off.
