Do not move vehicle with engine power once driveline shaft has been removed.
- Remove complete exhaust system bolts and nuts.
- Remove rear heat shield.
- Remove bolts from transmission companion flange.
- Remove driveshaft rear axle nuts.
- Press constant velocity joint off drive flange using suitable tool. Do not let driveline shaft fall into joints. Joints and rubber sleeve can be damaged on constant velocity joint.

- Remove lower engine splash shields.
- Remove intake duct.
- Unclip coolant lines from fan cowl.
- Unlock electrical connector for fan and remove.
- Release retaining screw for fan cowl.
- Unclip cable, then unclip vent lines.
- Turn lower hose holder through 90°.
- Remove fan cowl towards top.
- Mark the direction of rotation of the drive belt if it is to be reused.
