- Raise and support vehicle, then remove lefthand tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove mounting nut and separate outer tie rod from steering knuckles using steering linkage and tie rod puller tool No. J24319-B, or equivalent. Do not loosen tie rod end jam nut.
- Lock wheel hub and bearing from turning by installing suitable drift or punch into brake rotor against caliper mounting bracket.
- Remove and discard wheel drive shaft spindle nut.
- Disconnect wheel speed sensor connector and position wiring harness aside.

- Mark propeller shaft Constant Velocity (CV) joint to transfer case flange for installation alignment.
- Remove mounting bolts and disconnect CV joint from differential pinion flange by moving shaft rearward using suitable flat-bladed tool in differential flange notch.
- Remove mounting bolts and disconnect CV joint from transfer case flange by moving shaft forward using suitable flat-bladed tool in differential flange notch.
- Reverse procedure to install.
